About a year ago I said I was moving onto java. Well, it's true and let me tell you, ever since I moved, my programing skills skyrocketed! I never used to be able to make 2d, tile based platformers, but now here I am making a randomly generated terrain with perfect collision detection! You can really see how much I've improved by comparing my old game TwoD and my new one Fault!

Well I'm once again trying to move onto java. This time, unlike the other times I'm succeeding! ^-^ Flash is great for sharing projects online and making quick little games, but it's not flexible! I would like to be able to make games with my own drawing operations rather than flash doing it all for me! It's just a shame because I never posted any games yet on newgrounds... Newgrounds NEEDS to allow java games! That would be awesome!
Lately I haven't been in the mood for programming, but now I'm back! During Halloween, I was working on a game but got side tracked by cod and other fps games.... xD Anyways so I think you guys deserve a little spoiler... My game graphics aren't done yet, I might restart all of them over but the enemies and spawning system works. The game looks stable right now and glitch free. Here's an image of what it looks like at the moment. (Alpha 0.8.5)
So tell me... What should I do, spend more time on it than not enough and play with particle effects to make the game look great or release it sooner but take less time working on it..? Tell me what you think in the comments!
